Well played, Village Voice

Most of the time, The Village Voice irritates me.  I haven’t read it on a regular basis – outside of anything Ta-Nehisi Coates writes, and the always eerily-accurate Free Will Astrology  - in years. (BTW, Coates’ stuff is excellent. I had the pleasure of being introduced to him several years ago by a colleague and I have been a fan ever since.)  I’m always smirking at how the Voice pretends it’s still both revolutionary AND relevant, when it hasn’t been either since the early 1990s.

So imagine my surprise at reading the Queer Issue (June is Gay Pride month) and enjoying it.  Maybe you will, too.   :-)
